Success Principle #45: Ask for and Respond to Feedback
One of the fastest ways to grow and achieve greater success is to ask for feedback and respond with an open heart. Many people don’t progress—not because they’re not smart, but because they’re unaware of what needs improvement. Feedback is like a mirror—it reflects what we often can’t see ourselves.
Jack Canfield, in Principle #45 of The Success Principles, emphasizes that successful people consistently ask others how they can improve. They don’t take criticism personally. Instead, they see it as a tool for growth. They understand that feedback is a gift.
Start small—ask your coworkers, partner, mentor, or even customers: “What could I do better?” Listen with intention, avoid getting defensive, and take real action on what you’ve learned.
Remember, change doesn’t happen from intention alone—it comes from a willingness to grow and improve. And feedback is the doorway that leads us there.
Be someone who embraces feedback—it’s a sign of maturity and readiness for greater success.
